The 11th Australian Arbitration Week (AAW) will take place in Perth 8-13 October 2023. AAW will see substantive law presentations on topical national and international issues and social events hosted by organisations from across the globe. For the fourth consecutive occasion, Level Twenty Seven Chambers is participating in AAW proceedings.
Level Twenty Seven Chambers and Hall & Wilcox will co-host an insightful panel discussion titled ‘Expert Evidence – Optimising Success’. Expert evidence plays a pivotal role in shaping successful dispute resolution outcomes. However, when managed poorly, expert evidence has the potential to significantly diminish a party’s prospects of success. Barristers who practice from Level Twenty Seven Chambers and experts from McGrathNicol will share insights into how expert evidence can be optimised in various dispute resolution forums.
Topics of discussion:
Picking your expert – a guide to selecting the right expert for the dispute and forum.
Preparing v coaching – navigating the fine line between preparation and coaching to maintain the integrity of expert evidence.
‘Dirty’ experts – what does the term mean and how might they be used strategically.
Forum rules – understanding their impact on the presentation of expert evidence.
